i just made an account on e-trade, deposited funds and it says the transfer was completed. i tried to buy today but it said "we can't accept this order because there are insufficient funds in this account". is this common for first timers since it's the first transaction, or does it take awhile with every deposit?

Most newbies fail simply because they don't understand how the market works in general, or in particular how the market relates to the stock or currency pair they entering. If a retail trades doesn't grasp what the market makers are doing and when they are doing it, the greatest strategy in the world will fall. For new traders the markets are like entering an F1 race before you've passed your drivers licence test. Sounds exciting at first but virtually assured to fail miserably. Understanding price structure would enable traders to get off the starting grip and reach the start line. That's why its never to enter market without proper strategies and expertise because it surely will lead to losses. I blew my account severally trying to trade alone and he made me believe trading was a dead end not until I made 7 times on my trading capital in 4 weeks and with the market making large moves and the support and mentoring I got from Mr Michael, an expert financial analyst and he made me learn to read and understand the language of price action rather than relying on lagging indicators through vivid explanations on a learner-friendly platform. So my advice, fine a mentor and also try incorporating the use of oscillator, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy and most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), Thank me later. I highly recommend him the brain behind my success. Feel free to contact him if you've got a hard time getting hang of it on MICHAELFRANSWAY@GMAIL .com, I'm pretty certain he'll get in touch. Pursuing trades with him has put me on the path of greatness and I guess this is a good way to show my heartfelt appreciation for literally breaking the chain of my financial debt when I needed it the most.

Hi,
I had a question on the fractional shares, I am unable to place a fractional share order when buying a stock on ETrade. I was able to do this in Robinhood and also I have turned on the Dividend Reinvestment in ETrade. This buys the shares in fractions as I get paid. But I am not able to place a fractional-order on that stock.

Do we have to wait 3 days on sale to use the money to purchase or we can buy stocks when the money comes to "available to invest".

Why do I keep getting dropped after waiting for 30 minutes for customer service? Why after immediately taking my money in a simple transfer from a savings account can I not access or move my money? Why am I being told I have to upload a multitude of private documents to utilize money that you accepted? Your customer service process and utilization is worse than calling a Walmart! I need answers and more importantly, I need my money!!

Ok… so it says I have 15$ in my net account amount, but when I want to buy a stock that's 7$, it says insuff. funds. is this because the transaction between my bank and etrade haven't cleared, or is there a maze of fees that don't appear?
