These things are awful. They do nothing! They just blow air around and it's not even cold. There are many variations of these things all over the net being advertised. Don't waste your money, folks! I'm out $80.00. Lesson learned.
Blaux portable is just a slow fan with a bit of humidity, no AC, a real junk for the price, please dont buy this, the company is a real scam!!!!
Make this twice the size. Add a small pump and slightly larger fan.

Thanks for the great video. I used to live in Arizona. Our house had a huge swamp cooler, and it worked great. But if you live anyplace where the humidity is over 10%, a swamp cooler is useless. If a cooler doesn't have an evaporator coil, a compressor, a condenser coil and an expansion valve, then it's not an air conditioner, it's just a swamp cooler. These Blaux units are a total rip-off, and I wouldn't give them $8.90 for one. I'd get more cooling from sticking an icicle up my ….

I live in New Mexico, and we use swamp coolers to cool our homes, for the most part. Swamp cooling only works if you have a really low humidity environment, on a 100° day with 4% humidity, I can get a 25° temp split on an evaporative cooler, however if it is raining or it is high humidity that effect almost goes to zero.PLUS if you have a traditional A/C, it would increase the moisture and make your A/C work harder. Great review- You should have found the wiz kid from Albuquerque that supposedly made it. LOL

I bought a Blaux portable AC unit two months ago – and I fell in love with it. Now I cannot live without it. I am so happy to have fresh, cool air at the touch of a button. The only drag is recharging constantly for on-the-go operation. Ce la vie – such is life. That's life'.
The ad i saw that brang me here said nothing about ice just pour in tap water into like a container on the back and it cools a 400foot room by like 16degrees f
I just bought one and they sent me a different brand and return it. The bad news is until now they did NOT refund my money back yet. That was 3 months ago.

Ad still runnin
Their new name is think tech limited. I got two of these bogo. It worked slightly at close quarters like shown here. Being the domestic engineer I am, I placed it behind a desktop fan and it really worked then. I was sure I had beaten the system with my superior intellect. But after 30 mins, it shut off. I tried to turn it back on and it would cycle through the lightning sequence and then shut off again. Not completely bricked, but not at all operational. Thanks for your review. I just wish I had read it first.
I paid like 39 bucks for something like this from Walmart a few years back It worked with just water. not ice. And it kinda worked if you sat it in front of you and put more water in it all the time, and you didin't mind cool wet air blowing in your face, but as for cooling a RV forget it…
Then it started to leak, and that was that.
I had the same exact experience… want to return it… called customer service in the Philippines… couldn’t understand one word she said… after much repeating herself, I figured out they want me to jump through hoops to return it!!! Grrrrr!
